Failing CI

Red CI, fixed on the same pull request

Point Marlow at a pull request whose checks are failing. It reads which checks failed, fixes the code, and pushes to that pull request's own branch.

What it does
  • Starts from the names of the failing checks and commit statuses, not from a guess.

  • Runs the project's tests before every push.

  • Waits for CI and tries again while it is still red, up to three attempts, then reports what is left and stops.

What it never does
  • Merges. A green result ends with a notification, and the merge stays yours.

  • Starts on its own. A project owner asks for it on a specific pull request.

  • Touches a closed or merged pull request.

What it needs
  • A project with its repository connected, on GitHub or GitLab.

  • A test command on the project, which it runs before each push.

Start with one boring ticket.

Connect a repository and send it something you have been putting off. Set the gate to “open a pull request and stop” — the worst case is a branch you close.
